Entertainment
Punch and Judy
There are two performances of Punch and Judy, the first begins at 12:30pm and the second at 4:00pm. For those who don't know it, this is an ancient puppet show which has stood the test of time and is a great favourite of young and old. Well worth a look. Our "professor" is very good at interacting with children through the medium of puppetry.
Bouncy Castles
Our Bouncy Castles are provided by Coast to Coast entertainments. A good way to have a break from the small children as they bounce, slide and jump about in this enclosed safe environment. It will be open all day at the top left hand side of the field. It is a good place for the little ones to play, make new friends and burn off excess energy.
Model Tent
The model tent on the top righthand side of the field is mainly populated by the Camborne Pond Hoppers. Their display of models are a fine example of modelling workmanship. Many of the models ae replicas of locally famous boats ad ships like RMS Scillonian and some Cornish Life Boats. We may even have a pond for them to hop in if we can keep the dogs out of it!
Food and Drink
Our food is, as always provided by LTC Catering, winner of outside catering at the Royal Cornwall Show. They rear and kill their own animals on their farm near Camborne. They provide burgers, hot dogs, pig roast with all the trimmings at reasonable prices for all the family. Ice Cream and various vegetarian and vegan options will also be available. There will be a full bar and a Prosecco and Pimms Tent.
Music
Headlining the Bill is Will Keating, a Cornish folk musician known for his heartfelt performances and dedication to Cornwall’s rich history and heritage. Will is part of the popular Falmouth-based male vocal group The Oggymen, celebrated for their humor and beautiful four-part harmonies. In 2016, inspired by Cornwall’s traditions and the songs of his mentor, Harry “Safari” Glasson, Will began performing solo with his acoustic guitar and stomp box. His repertoire includes a blend of Harry’s compositions, his own songs, and traditional Cornish and Celtic folk tunes. Will has received accolades from far and wide for his performances.
The Gweek silver band will be playing as usual at 1:15pm. near the Beer Tent.
